NOTICE OF RACE

1. RULES: The regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of US Sailing, the El Toro International Yacht Racing Association (ETIYRA) Class rules, and this Notice of Race except as any of these are altered by this Notice of Race or the Sailing Instructions.  The Organizing Authority is Kaneohe Yacht Club (KYC).  US Sailing prescriptions to rules 60.3, 63.2 and 63.4 will be excluded.

2. ADVERTISING: Appendix J, section J2.2 (1) will be modified to read that “advertising will not be restricted.”

3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY:

3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the El Toro Class. Eligible boats may enter by completing the Bullship Entry Information at the Registration Desk on the day of the Regatta.  Duplicate sail numbers will NOT be accepted. Online Registration must be completed, including sail numbers, prior to the respective Skipper's Meeting. Failure to do may result in an entry being scored DNS.

3.2 The Junior Bullship shall be for those skippers who have not reached their 19th birthday by the day of the Regatta. Junior skippers shall be classified by age.

3.3 The Senior Bullship is for skippers aged 19 and older on the day of the Regatta.  There will be four divisions in the Senior Bullship determined by weight.

3.4 Double handed entries are welcome in both races. In the Senior Race they shall start in the appropriate weight class but be scored as a separate division.

3.5 The winner of the Junior Bullship is invited to compete in the Senior Bullship in the appropriate weight class.

4. FEES: For US Sailing Members: $10.00 per boat for Juniors, $15.00 per boat for Seniors. Non US Sailing Members, add $5.00 per boat.

9:15 AM Skipper’s Meeting

9:42 AM First Warning - One race  

11:45 Awards Presentation

Senior Bullship:

12:15 AM – 13:00 PM Weigh-in

13:00 PM - Skipper’s Meeting

13:27 PM First Warning - One race  

Prizes and Awards for the Senior Race will be presented no earlier than 15:30 at Kaneohe Yacht Club.  In the event of cancellation, this event shall be abandoned for 2024.

7. RACE START SYSTEM:  RRS 26 will be replaced with US Sailing prescription Appendix U.  Audible-Signal Racing System.

8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS:  The Sailing Instructions will be available online at kaneoheyachtclub.com after 9/28/24 and at Report/Weigh-in.

9. SCORING: Appendix A-4. Scoring: The order of finish shall determine position.

10. PRIZES: Perpetual trophies are awarded for overall finishes.  Other appropriate awards may be presented.
