Applications

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Kaneohe Yacht Club.

The first step toward becoming a member is to obtain two sponsors. Sponsors must be Senior or Life Members. One of your sponsors needs to obtain a Membership Application for you. The completed application must be returned with the appropriate Initiation and Application Fees to the Kaneohe Yacht Club Office. The fee schedule is herewith attached.

Since we have reached our membership cap, payment of the Application Fee and 25% of the Initiation Fee is required when submitting your application. When your name approaches the top of the wait list, you will be notified to make an appointment with the Membership Committee for an interview. If your application is approved at your meeting with the Membership Committee, it will be presented to the Board of Directors’ for approval at their meeting later in the month. The balance of your full initiation fee is due with the notification.

Your signing of the Membership Application gives us written authority to seek frank disclosures regarding your employment, credit history, references, and any criminal record or legal entanglements.

The Kaneohe Yacht Club exists and thrives on membership participation. You are strongly encouraged to volunteer and participate actively on one of the several committees and/or fleets. These include the Race Committee, Mooring Committee, Membership Committee, various Sailing Fleets, Fishing Fleet and Tennis Fleet, etc.
